I was told about CHC this past August while I was looking into adopting a new project horse. I went to their site and immediately fell in love with a horse listed there. Within two weeks he was home with me! When I contacted them, Julie was very professional and helpful, and helped me get a time set up to come meet him. The facility was easy to find and when I pulled in I could see the hard work put into everything. They have SO many horses that need homes, but Julie is focused on finding the perfect fit, not just sending them anywhere. I was thankful for that and it gave me confidence that my new boy would work out. There is of course an adoption fee but factoring in all the expenses that went into him, I don’t think it’d be breaking even. It’s a true 501c3, and the money goes right back into saving another horse. I was more than willing to make the 3 and a half hour drive there twice. If you’re looking for a new best friend, contact CHC! The first picture is from my first time meeting Brownie, who is now named Sherlock Holmes! The second picture is a couple of weeks ago at his first Fox Hunt!
