May 11, 2019 was a day for the record books! Sendn Royal Chex had his very first debut in the Reining pen after a mere 12 months of training beginning late as a 3 year old (which never happens in this industry). NRHA professional Steve Siadik and Julie picked this horse out of a sale pen knowing there was just something about him that was a diamond in the rough.

After many wet saddle pads and and a few riders bucked off, this guy learned the true meaning of the word TRUST. This guy was terrified about his first trip to a horse show, but relied on Steve to guide him through banners, tractors, announcers, overhead doors opening, cheering, loud noises and horses everywhere .He went into the show pen, scared as can be and trusted Steve, listened to Steve and displayed confidence in himself and his trainer . He hit every single maneuver just like one that has had twice the amount of training. At the end of the day, Chex ended up Tied for THIRD in the Green Horse and SEVENTH in the Jackpot in a class with 64 Entries !

There was not a dry eye in the house (Steve included). We are all so incredibly proud of this horse and grateful to be a part of his journey. This is one of the highlights of Steve’s career. What a wonderful opportunity to show the world that any horse with the desire can do it. Thank you for the bottom of our hearts to Julie Copper and Copper Horse Crusade for saving him and so many like him.
