In July of 2010 Julie went to the Sugarcreek auction just like she does each week but this particular Friday would, unbeknownst to me, change my life. Julie saw this little skinny and scared roan yearling filly. There was nothing wrong with her except a superficial wound on her hock. Even though this precious baby had no training Julie saw something in her and gave her a second chance at life. Onto the trailer she went and she was off to her "halfway house" in Cambridge. Julie had named her Wicked b.c her personality was anything but! I saw her online in October of 2010 and knew I had to adopt her. I went out to see her, saw all the potential in the world and put a deposit down that same day. Fast forward 8 years and she has grown into a 16h beautiful red roan mare who I named Autumn. I have been fortunate enough to do all her training myself. We have competed in fun shows, barrel shows and reined cow horse shows all of which she enjoyed doing. We have also been on trails and hope to do more trail riding in the future. Julie changed this mares life by taking a chance on her as a baby and she changed my life when I least expected it. Julie, Autumn and I can't say thank you enough for bringing us together. We will always support you and your mission to give second chances to deserving horses. *Because too many good horses end up in the kill pen*
