GOING HOME! AQHA fleabitten grey mare, 26 years old, 14.2 hh. Hollie is well broke and still remembers her training. It was a long sweltering auction, she was ridden hard and then left tied for FIVE HOURS to the rail in the heat with no water, hay or fan -- we had already closed out our tab and were ready to leave. However, she nickered at Julie when she passed by as if to day, "Why am I still standing here?  I am so hot and thirsty, can I go home with you?" and so Julie went back into the sale office and wrote another check for this sweet girl.  The hot trip home was hard on her, so we are giving her some time off. It has been too hot this week to ride an out-of-condition senior, but we will put some time on her as she gets stronger and we see a break in the heat. This mare would be perfect for a kid learning to show. Hollie's ideal home is out there, and we'll make sure she finds it.
