Glossy black nice quality quarter pony mare, 14.2 hh, 8 years old. Julie's guess is that she was probably broke and messed with as a 2 yr old and has had a few babies since and UPDATE!  we just confirmed that she is in foal. We have been suspicious for some time, but the vet finally confirmed it. CHC pulled Calypso in June and we have been working steadily with her but not pushing to get her placed because we suspected she might be in the family way. Our ideal situation for her at this point would be a place that she could be fostered until she has her baby, probably a February foal. So there you have it, two lives were saved when we pulled Calypso!

She has been restarted under saddle while here at CHC to give her the best chance at a great home. Good minded girl and he tolerated a rider at the feedlot and stood for the farrier without any fuss and has seen the dentist, too.  Lots of potential with this pretty mare once she stops being a baby maker and can be focused on the training that will save her life!
