Elvira is a 16 year old, 16.1 hh cross- bred mare. The friendly horses in the pen always deserve a look and this mare was sweet. She has been waiting to see what the outcome would be for her. Finally, the vet was able to look at her and confirmed that the condition affecting her back leg was lymphangioma. It's somewhat treatable, or at least manageable, but not really worth it in his opinion. (I'm sure Elvira has a different opinion since it is her leg.) Elvira is surprisingly sound on her big back leg. It does not seem to bother her - whether she is on stall rest or turned out. We have ridden her lightly without issue. Super low adoption fee if anyone is interested in this friendly x bred mare. Elvira deserves a shot!
